south central IOWA | I was told by a local contractor ( that builds them cheaper) that the big name builders offer warranties that will cover the cost of the building for X amount of years if it ever falls over. Their sales pitch is those small guys don't offer that. Then they just go and get an insurance policy to cover the building, let's say 5 years for $500. Don't know if the numbers are close but the policy is cheap. Then they charge thousands more for just a cheap policy. I don't know if any of this is true but it sounds good. Maybe I was just getting a sales pitch from a small guy. | |
