East central Iowa | As I grew up my dad, the hired man and the neighbors often said, "let's go to work." It was said in so many case. If a tire needed changing it was, "let's go to work and change that tire." Or "let's go to work and get the tractor out." Even "let's go to work and get a root beer float" while we're in town. Today I heard it on Gunsmoke, Festus said that phrase and it just brought back memories. |
