| That is a great question. I will give it a try.
The system you probobly saw that includes the monitor & lightbar in the cab was a Tee Jet CL250. It is a straight rate controller with a lightbar. The CL250 system is driven by a node called an IC18.
The IC18 along with correct cable will work with any ISO11783 complient device. The cable from the node used to connect to the CL250 would simply be swapped for an ISOBUS cable. That cable would plug into the connector on the back of an ISOBUS equipped tractor and display the program on the virtual terminal.
So, if you bought a CL250 today for the present use you could anytime in the future get the cable and use it with a compliant device.
