NW IA | I can't comment on the packed lime, but any dirt floors in sheds became saturated and I never felt drainage was enough to be effective.
I'm very partial to feeding away from bedding, but I realize a TMR in an open bunk complicates things, and Stuffers aren't favored by the serious cattleman*
