| Ok, here is what I have learned:
With the help of a fellow NAT'r a few years ago he pointed me to an EBay listing. I'm sorry I don't remember who actually pointed them out to me so I could give proper credit.

Yes, they're out of the UK, nothing shows as available here.
DISCLAIMER: I have not needed to try the new ones I bought, but I do have two on hand. They DO look like they will work. I found a picture in my files showing a new one mounted on a frame, physically, it apparently does work, but I have no record of having ever installed one on a tractor yet.
You'll just have to splice the wires, the connector is different.
I always suspected they were available, and figured they were just an off the shelf Hall Effect sensor, I could never find one on my own.
Good luck, IF you do buy any, please let us know if they actually do work.
The first two images are of the new sensor.
The Third is both sensors next to each other.
The Fourth image is a new sensor mounted to the framework I found in my files.
