NW IA | That is a very good question and there are better sources of info out there than me, but if I skip a day or so of eating I do it when there is plenty to do from wake-up to bedtime.
Just my opinion, nothing more, but I believe the activity keeps the demand from stored fuel high, the metabolism humming, and the mind diverted.
The mental aspect is not to ignore hunger, more to avoid bored snacking. I find that when fasting for a day when I'm active it's easy to shower up and hit the bed feeling some extra measure of wellness and contentment. Might not make sense, but the good feeling gets stronger after several hours in. I rarely skip a whole day, and have never gone past 72 hours. | |
