Subject: Almost as dumb as food safety laws

Eastern VA. No such thing as too many Magnums.
I really hope this doesn't happen. When one state does something stupid, the other states soon do the same stupid thing. Looks like they're going to legislate us right out of business. Yet another thing to comply with and create unnecessary expense. Only thing worse is food safety laws regarding traceability. You can track it all the way from the field to the grocery store's cooler, and tell who picked it, what day, the field, when it was shipped, everything. But once they take it out of the box and put it on the fruit/vegetable display, it's mixed up with whatever other vendor's stuff is out there. Can't segregate it anymore. Very expensive to set up, but in the end, does not accomplish the mission. Then all the customers touch it and check it over, but the "germs" must have come from the farm, not the customers who touch and poke it 20 times. Typical gov't at work. So out of touch with reality they can't recognize such basic errors. I am turning into a real card carrying gov't hater.
