Years ago the local VFW had nut fries and the main cook said he picked them up in Omaha and that thet were turkey nuts. Don’t remember the name of the shop though.





Turkey nuts are way better than bovine, and tons of work to prepare. But worth the work, as they're more tender.



Guessing it's only old school cattle people that have eaten calf nuts at the right size as to still be tender and good. The nuts need to be pretty small to be good eating.
