Illinois | To add to the discussion, I have heard many like the gear-driven design of the On-Trac2 if you are looking at basic guidence -- and the OnTrac2 doesn't care what color the machinery is. For guidence the OnTrac2 options do not need unlocks and the only additional activation i can think of is if the option selected would allow adding OmniStar.
The Ag Leader Edge monitor will work with the OnTrac2, probably never will with the Insight -- and not the Integra at this time. AutoFarm does have an OnTrac2 option that works with the Integra but you must also use the ParaDyme to make it work (and adds to the price as that would add a lot of other features too). But both the Edge and Integra will do yield monitoring of course and each has other AL features as well. Depending on your needs, present and future, may dictate which monitor you want to consider in addition to the guidence that OnTrac2 can provide.
Other monitor options you might look into are Raven's ViperPro and EnvisoPro that work with AutoFarm's OnTrac2 as well. Raven also offers a basic Cruizer monitor paired with their SmartSteer (from its partnership with AutoFarm- which is basically the OnTrac2 with some minor differences) if you are just looking at an entry level guidence (but stick with the Helix rather than the patch antenna - you will be happier). | |
