Field loss is always going to be higher in impeller conditioned forages. For haylage probably less than if you dry it down but that’s always the case no matter how or if you condition it at all.

You won’t see the field loss just like you don’t see fermentation losses, but it’s there.

I think there’s a reason rolls are more commonly used. That being said, I’ve seen an impeller machine do some amazing work on grass.
