Subject: Opinions on Hagedorn manure spreader

Central SD
We are looking for a new manure spreader. Vertical beater models primarily. We had a SAC (Sioux automation center) vertical spreader previously. We had a lot of issues with rocks getting between the bottom beater pan, and the floor chain where the pan swings underneath the floor chain, and causing much damage, several times.

In looking at the Hagedorn models it looks like the bottom of the beater doesn’t pass underneath anything, making me think that it would alleviate the prior issue we’ve experienced.

I’m interested in hearing what some of your experiences are with the Hagedorn spreaders are, good or bad. Very interested to hear how the push system works as opposed to the floor chain. Thanks
