Eastern Washington State | To the left of the 30 gallon cone is my 10 gallon vacuum cone. I pretty proud of this idea. I can't take credit for the idea itself, I'm pretty much copying the concept of the JD Skiles PitStop system, but the implementation is all mine. The way it works is I use vacuum from the venturi to suck low volume products into the cone for metering. This is for stuff that I'm using less than 10 gallons of and need to suck it out of a tote or 30 gallon barrel (adjuvants, crop oil, etc). I have to suction tubes coming off the top, a rinse nozzle in the center, and then a 3 way valve to select between suction and venting air back into the cone.
This system has worked super well. The only change I had to make was I had to replace the top. The first one I made (the white top) wasn't the full diameter as the top of the cone. Under vacuum the top would flex down enough that my seal between the top and the cone leaked. I've replaced it with another piece of HDPE that's the same diameter as the top of the cone (the black one). Should be problem solved. I also had to add a piece of tubing inside my vacuum tube coming over to the cone since they red hose I'm using would start to collapse under the vacuum.
