Perhaps take a different approach, like filling it with water, then measuring the volume that empties out. Or put it on a truck scale, both empty and wet. Each cubic foot of water ( perhaps still freezing at your location ? ) is about 62.5 pounds, using an "average" of the above volumes puts in the tonnage in water in the low 20's.
