There are two different ways to put a paradyme on a CIH MX tractor. You can buy a complete valve install kit ($3795.00), or a Accuguide Ready tractor kit ($1995.00). Much more difficult to install the first kit with the external valve so labor difference will be much different. If it were mine, I would order a AG-Ready case and that is all you need for a Agleader/AutoFarm system.
Someone please correct me if I am mistaken.
Sounds reasonable to me from what I've heard.
In my own personal case I have a Deere 8120 with a Trimble autopilot working through my Insight. This tractor was not auto-steer ready as that was an option when I ordered the tractor. This meant that an external valve was needed to work with the Trimble Autopilot. This system has worked well.
At the recent Ag Leader dealer training I asked about what would be involved if I decided to go from my Insight to an Integra. The Integra will support the Paradyme but not the Trimble Autopilot (Nav II etc.).
This would involve removing the Nav II etc. My question was whether I could use the external valve which was installed for the Trimble installation or if I would need to use other valves. The answer that I could use my external valves and should order an Accuguide Ready tractor kit. The Paradyme wiring harness is slightly different and would require a simple wiring change.
The Trimble Wheel Position sensor would/could/need not be installed. As I understand it, the calibration routine would involve telling that system that it was on a CIH autoguide ready tractor and then let it do its own autocalibration routine.
Given the costs, I do not plan on doing this.
