like all other aspects of any business today, greed is driving everything
recently I was at a parts counter in a big name ag. store, and was asking for help in sourcing a replacement part, guy at counter began to look through many pages on his monitor till (at 5 oclock straight up) he said "well, can't help you bud". probably won't forget that.
