I did almost exactly what von did on my 5088 , disconnect switch and 1 group 31 in left battery box . used heavy welding cable and crimped my own ends .
Little simple old style crimpers are cheap .
the 5088 always started excellent , until last year . put in a new single group 31 and new cables and ends and it starts like new .
