central Ia | Glacier is not like Yellowstone or some other parks, you have to hike to see most sights, just can't drive up to the parking lot and walk less than a mile to see things.
East Glacier isn't as comercial as West Glacier, we stayed in East Glacier and enjoyed the quiet but we didn't have kids. Going to the Sun Road, Many Glacier lake, maybe find a trail ride, you can take boat tours of the lakes. Buy or rent some bear spray for peace of mind. Don't know which way you are planning to get there but Cody and Thermopolis are good stops, Chief Joesph and Beartooth pass are fun roads. Quite a few video's on what to see and what to do in Glacier. Very nice park we were there in probably 2012 before all the crowds it was quit and peaceful.
