Subject: RE: Two track tractors for planting?

SW Ontario
We planted with one for years and got along great. Positives are very light and nimble machine which is great during planting. I don't think you'd have any trouble with planting into tracks we did for years and unless it was extremely wet there was no noticeable issues. Downsides are if it gets wet they only want to go straight until you learn how to run them in wetter conditions. The older model Challengers are also extremely rough on the road during transport especially with a lot of hitch weight on. If I were you I would go with a 30" belt and plant right down the center of the tracks, less berming and more flotation that way than the 18" belts.
