I wrestled with size. A D8 sells for the value of the undercarriage. I move a couple times a year either 2 miles or 10 miles. I spend less than $1,000 a year moving if I give a little warning so it can picked upped on the way by. I am yet to wish I had something smaller. I ran a D4 once. I couldn’t do very level work as a novice. The bigger ones with a longer track frame are easier to operate.
