Trint - 1/20/2024 15:23 Noticed several of the combines and some tractors are the largest in production, is there really a market for that size machine over there? I was always under the impression most stuff was smaller scale over there. Also unless they somehow make them narrower how do you even move a class 9+ combine over there.

Claas, NH certainly still sell rather small combines, but my impression is that the big comines are by far the biggest sellers. Claas sell loads of wide bodies. Moving big combines is a challenge, head off obviously, you're supposed to have a Movement Order from the police and the machine needs escorting. Once upon a time the head and combine came on the same truck, but the head is an oversized load on it's own now.

As for tractors, we don't use quite the number of very high HP tractors tat you do, but there's plenty of 400hp tractors around, I'd say the 200hp bracket is where it's at now for the bulk of sales

I imagine it's tough getting around with most equipment these days on your narrow roads.
In the early 2000s seems 100-150 hp was the common size in uk? Lots of mx case maxxums and john deere 7000 series etc?
