Depends a lot on your soil. Some small machines with an 8’ blade just don’t have enough weight to dig and push tight dirt. For me, a D-6 D is a good start. A smaller one with a ripper will work but slow. I had a 50,000# D-6R LGP and at times it had all it wanted in heavy clay to get a full blade of dirt.
Dozer shopping….ideal size????
