Southeast Nebraska | Thank you for the reply. A couple of years ago when it was raining (not drought) I had an issue with persistent moisture in the basement, so I had a company come in and remove concrete along the wall inside and install drainage tile that leads back to a sump as I had no tile inside or out. At that time they suggested a product that allows water that might run down the wall to run into the new gravel pack in the floor and get to the tile. That seemed to really help the moisture issues, but created a gap between the floor and the wall to allow any water that might run down the wall through.
Well then we have been in a drought for about the last 2.5 years, during that time my radon levels went way up to around 20.
I was thinking this situation they suggested might not be a good thing from a radon mitigation standpoint, I have no doubt that the radon system is pulling house air because of this. | |
