Sounds like both would benefit from air inlet. Simple critter resistant inlet with dryer style shutter should serve both. My HE furnace came plumbed with inlet and exhaust outside. If you have an outside exhausting stove fan. It will likely be doing the same thing to the furnace. We put one in that you can see a difference when you open a window.
