It might be possible to start the computer with a "live" distro of Linux to see if file recovery is possible.
In brief:
Download Linux Mint to a bootable USB.
Turn computer on and press a key to get to bios to change boot disk from HDD to USB. (Mine is F12, search for bios interrupt key for your computer)
If it boots you should be able to see your computer drive using the folder icon at bottom under devices.
I did this when my laptop failed to boot and was able to recover my files.
