Wondering what it cost to have tires done in your area. Here it's when you price a set of tires vs. ordering them online is 25 bucks a tire, plus valve stem charge on tires without TPMS on them. Plus your recycling fees. Yet to take a tire in for flat repair its around 15 dollars for patch/plug.

Was quoted $1,700 for a set of tires for a 1/2 ton pickup. Same tires delivered to my shop was under $900. Honest figures we figured only ten sets of pickup tires changed paid for tire machine. We had one tire store we used for 35 years, great service, 100% best business in town. Sadly he sold out, went down hill. We really wanted to stay going to them. But got to the point couldn't even buy tires for ATVs there.

Just for reference here I have hardly ever found savings looking online, I have ordered from implements supplier before and then had the local chevy dealer mount them. Was $20 a tire for mount and balance probably more now with inflation but can't justify equipment for that. Now I do most the other tire work for convenience as much as anything, have a family tire shop that's reasonable for truck and tractor work. You must wear tires out quicker then we do, wouldn't do 10 set of tire in 20years here, no gravel around either.
