The worst thing about getting in and out of an 86 series cab was the levers catching on your clothes as you exited. Then there's the door opening the wrong way. I put a gas strut on the door which helped a lot. Magnum was a big improvement.
With the J.D. owl cage the door simply did not open wide enough.
