I was at this sale and watched this 1 of 1 sell. Quite a back story to it.

Have a friend who restores Shelby Mustangs with his father. I called him after the sale, thought he'd be interested. He sheepishly admitted that yeah, he watched. Yeah, he wanted to puke, but thought he was over it. Didn't know why he felt that way. Told me he had looked at the car in the early 80's. Guy wanted 15K for it, which is what a real live original equipment Shelby would be worth at the time. This one obviously has the wrong motor, wheels, and tires. Or so he and everyone else thought. Not paying full price for this one by golly.
