S.E. Iowa | I put a "finger" in to alfalfa last fall. I put it in September 10th or so. It is 6 acres, sowed at 20 lbs alfalfa, with potash and pell lime. I also put 1 1/2 50 gallon barrels of barley in it. They sowed it with a air sprayer type machine. I rolled before and after seeding. The barley germed out at 99 percent. It seems so thick I won't have any alfalfa make it thru the mat. My plan is to bale it asap. Comments?
