Whale watching excursions are cool if it is during the whale migration
San Diego zoo is one of the best zoos in nation
People watching is fascinating walking or biking along the ocean boulevard/boardwalk
Mission bay is nice and calm if you are into SUP or kayaking
The early morning provides the best surfing condition if you are into that. It can also be fun just to watch surfers
Map out where you are going to park before going anywhere. There is very little free parking and paid parking can fill up.
