North Dakota | In the United States it is estimated that 2,000 acres per day are taken out of agricultural production due to urban and industrial development. In the last decade the US lost 11 million acres of farmland to development. These figures are from Agweek, Modern Farmer, NPR, Yahoo Finance and others. Maybe they are wrong. I would say that’s rather positive. Oh yeah…..I know…..I know, South America more than makes up for it. | |
