There was a dead hawk in a transfor.er near us. Was there for a long time. I saw a lineman and asked if they would get it down. He said that xcel would have to call an Indian raptor burial outfit to get it down. So they left it there. I wouldn't get it mounted. Protected species will get you In alot of trouble.



We saw something that looked like a hawk fly down onto a power line, get fried, knock out power, and start a fire. We put the fire out and called the utility. Linemen came out, fixed up the line, and examined the charred remains of the “squirrel” at the base of the pole. Evidently a hawk would require more paperwork and still be just as dead as the “squirrel” they found.
