Scottville, 49454 Northwest Michigan | We've converted a Case-IH 496 into a tool similar to the Case-IH 330. Well, as similar as we could. All the coulters were wore out on the 496 anyways, so we thought, "why not try to convert it to the 330 style machine." We bought the same coulters that are on the 330 for our conversion. We changed the angle of our gangs on our 496 to match up with the 330. We might not have that angle perfect, but it's close. Probably the toughest part for us was changing that angle, but still making it possible to fold it up without it breaking at the connections where it folds. This spring will be the first we try it. I don't see why it shouldn't work for us similar to how a 330 performs, but we'll see. I'll post on here how we felt it worked for us after we've run it over a few acres.
