Wyoming | Thank you everyone for the advice. I think I'm going to go ahead and buy it.
It most likely won't ever be a super reliable tractor, but will be a good project. With the loader, I'm not super worried about getting my money back out of it if it turns out to be bigger issues than the head gasket.
It's only around 12 miles away and he offered to trailer it to me, so getting it back is no issue.
This morning I test drove it with some of the tips I was given, the hydraulics seem strong, and everything besides the AC and fuel gauge seem functional. New head gasket and it could be good as new, but could also be a cracked block. It's a gamble, but one I'm thinking is fairly safe.
Again, thanks to everyone for the advice, I'm sure I'll be coming back for more as I start tearing into this machine.
