| I've perfected the '3pt lift valve is stuck' maneuver. Sigh.
There was the dumbest service bulletin back in the early 80's that had the hydraulic filter retrofitted to a bypass style.. 'too many customers complaining their steering was going away as the filter plugged'.. oh brother.
So new filters were shipped with the 'kit' to do so. a spring, and a different nub that popped into the head of the housing. basically allowing any and all crap to flow when pressure differential at the filter was exceeded. If you don't know what to look for, you may already have a bypass system, rather than the full flow one- it uses same filter either way.
soon as I realized this was done to my 1155, I converted it back, and hasn't stuck in over 30 yrs. Another thing that may help here- when running the tractor, I routinely cycle the lift a few times a day. |
