Depends on climate, end goals, quality of hay, and more importantly size of the bales and delivery method. IE hay in rings or ran through a processor, or ground hay fed from a wagon etc. If you figure 2-3% of the cow's body weight you can get a rough idea for dry lot conditions. Best advice I can give is to work with a local nutritionist who can analyze your operation, feed supply and goals to help come up with a feeding plan.
