| It's like buying a car with 150k miles. You'll get it cheap it'll probably be good for another 50k miles, maybe another 150k if you take good care of it and it was cared for and you put some money into it but nothing's guaranteed. That's kind of like a tractor at 5k hours, probably will get you to 8k hours, maybe 10k hours with care and maintenance.
It used to be that a brand new large tractor hours were worth about $75, you could use that metric for lease or low hour trade in. $300k tractor at 75/hr was basically all depreciated out at 4-5k hrs. Now I don't know maybe you have to increase those numbers by 50-60 percent. | |
