Like so many things , check if over. Be sure park brake isn't smoked.  Not easy to fix.  We have 2 maxxums, one syncro and one powershift.  They have been ok, but are kind of light duty. The cummins engines are fairly bullet proof. I dislike working on anything in the side console/ shift area. Like others said, the pto output system doesn't like abuse. Descent for straight pto work, but not good for angled loads, or push pull , will get spendy.
