Recently purchased a MK 100-71 swing hopper auger and noticed that the lower gearbox for that runs the swing hopper has issues. If you can see in the picture there looks to be a bad bearing under the heavy washer in the pic.
Is this box rebuildable if it is just the bearing on that shaft or is it better to put on a new box ?
My dealer is checking on parts for box but I am thinking if that bearing is out the rest are probably contaminated also.
We made a better seal protector and added a zerk when we did our Westfield auger gearbox.
