Western Oregon
I ran 2 Case 830's but were bought used. Kinda different, crude like the 06 Farmalls. Everything was row crop here. Massey Harris was well liked, tractors and combines. Great dealer. When Massey's came out all was good for a few years. Never saw a new Massey combine, everyone ran their old Massey Harris's. A few 90 and 65 tractors. Massey Ferguson utility tractors were well liked, lots of 135's and 165's. Not many bigger tractors until wheat came fence row to fence row. Massey xxx5 tractors and Allis Chalmers started popping up with the frugal crowd but soon found out about their weaknesses. 190/190xt's, then the 2000 series Massey's killed them dead. The Massey dealers Son tried to keep the store open by farming with Massey's but they ended up Kubota. He went Versatile 4x4's. No good Ford dealer here. Great Case dealer that sold Oliver and White, in the south valley. There were Olivers, lot of Massey 4x4's, 1500/1800's and White 4x4's in the ryegrass fields, where money was tight....James
