S Illinois | The US has always been in the winning position. Trade deficits don’t matter and are a useless metric. Additionally one can’t push on a rope. China is not a consumeristic society. So we are down to selling them ag products or energy. And I seriously doubt anyone wants to sell them oil or NG. Intellectual property protection is what we should be shooting for. Making them buy things they don’t want or need is a useless exercise. The US will never run a trade surplus or even close to a a zero trade deficit with China. | |
