In 1972, which is the last yr
about $7700 for a 1100
$11500 for a 1130
They sold probably 10 1100's for every 1130.
Just because of price
That's why 1130 are so collectable.
A 1100 series is hands down more user friendly than a JD, until maybe the side console.
At least we don't have to turn the steering wheel to start them...
That being said the 1100 was bought and beat on by more "cowboys" than any tractor in existence.
Just because you could buy them cheaper. They took a lot of abuse.

Edit- If i would have had to buy all JD equipment, I would have never made it farming.
Too much money upfront.
I loved to see Massey equipment on Jd lots. They always wanted to discount it to move it. Lots of deals and cheap financing at JD.
And yes the JD guys all poked fun at my equipment.
But now I can farm with no operating loan.
