Virginia
I'm looking at a 70 with the 626tl loader. New it's $40k. That's full weights and loaded tires. The 626 will pick up 3130 pounds 10 ft 2 inches.
The 621 tl will pick up 2800 pounds 10 ft.
Good luck, they seem to be pretty simple bare bones tractors that have very few electrical components to go bad. A friend of mine has a 75 and loves it.
The specs are very similar to a jd 540 loader and I can tell you I've moved ALOT of hay/straw and litter/shavings with one of those.
I think you will be fine for handling bales if you weight it accordingly.
