Used to reach up and break them off with tractor and loader and follow behind with a blade to push them out of the field. Hoe obviously reaches much higher, has way more power, and is significantly faster. Can track right down the row and versus lining up the tractor perpendicular with each tree, plus any branches that end up in the field can be grabbed and pushed back with the same machine.
Using any sort of pole saw, even on a skidloader would be a slow ordeal I'd think. | |
