If it is cost to remove trees making it not in the cards , rent a hoe and start in. I have seen pay back in one year many times.
Especially if one has a skid of his own to clean up with.
If it is a border fence, do what you can.
I have had 2 landlords that want the trees trimmed. with a bucket and a saw. From what I have seen is it is a total waste of time.
A chain saw does not run free either.
I use an old ripper around the field. I just go slow so I don't break something on a big root.
If you cut limbs, be sure to apply something to the cut surface.
