7920 has 8.1 l engine and is more desirable to me over 6.8 l. Only power quad transmission as ps has park problems.
No PS available in 20 series, and newer in 7X20/30 or 7XXXR Tactors. 7920 tractors were IVT only, no PQ available on those.
To the OP, avoid an IVT on 7XXXR Tractors. Just too many issues, at least on earlier ones. Maybe later ones were ok??
We went with a 7930 when we were looking for a large frame 7X20/30 tractor. I'd prefer the 8.1L in the 78/7920 over the 6.8L in the 7720. All large frame 77/78/7930 tractors were 6.8L engines, and all of the large frame 7X30 tractors could be PQ, or IVT.
