Nw Iowa | As a former dealer it makes sense, he can keep newest two under 1000 hrs, probably closer to 600-700 hrs. He is using mud deal to keep his hourly cost in line, mud deal probably throws a additional 15-20 a hr on first 600-700 hrs, dealer allows a lot because he still has almost new tractor, can put it on his lot with 600 hrs and sell it to someone who wants to save some money over new. These are tractors with all electronics and special equipment to run planter etc and don’t want down time.( it would take us about three or 4 hrs to switch planter tractor if you have pumps, wiring, monitors, etc ) Cattle tractors are just power and pto without all the extra bells and whistles and can easily be switched. | |
