Must be. A 250-350k tractor depreciated down to 60-75 k. Most people must think they are high hour or they wouldn't depreciate like that Honestly, for that kind of money I’d buy 3 of them. Spread the hours out and have the extra convinence of ready to go backups not if, but when one or two goes down. With the fleet you have, not at all a stretch to say you could have a couple tractors torn down at one time. I have a fleet of vehicles I drive, kinda for the same purposes, although breakdowns are not a concern, more keep miles off the new, expensive units, and not drive them in the winter. I have a couple dedicated winter rigs that wear their studded snows year round. You might check with Jonas Leid at Osage, he’s the king of supplying cattle guys with higher houred Deeres that whistle Dixie.
