Subject: RE: Drone applications $$

Chebanse, IL.....

We just attended a PFR meeting. I think they mentioned there was no disease or any visual need to apply fungicide. Point being, when the chips are down with infestation of ??, would 2 gpa be enough?

Also, I thought their presentation of spray droplet paper of 3 sources was interesting. Did you see that?

Finally, wondering why drone spray prices presented on AT are higher than ground rigs in this area? I'd think drones would be much cheaper to operate than a ground rig given same circumstances. I would think someone versed in simple math cost presentations on AT would be grabbing on to that fact and presenting an on-line monetary cost breakdown. I am quite sure I've seen many on AT question opportunity pricing.

I also think you could get many ground applicators to charge less if the customer would accept them applying minimal gpa rates, in some cases that would be 2 gpa. A hot load tank would nurse 2500 acres in that situation. I'm not really sure how accurately a standard size flow meter could handle 5-6 gpm however.
