| Well, Bern, these are the specs. for that engine....straight out of the service manual.
As somebody who has been around dozens of these engines, its very rare to see one under 35 psi even when hot and at an idle. It might show 35psi when you first idle back after working it hard, but in a minute or two(after the oil cools 10 degrees or so), it will usually be 38-40 psi engine after engine.
The engine oil regulator on these engines typically keeps the engine oil pressure at 72 psi(5 bar) under most operating conditions.
The Europeans that designed these engines love using 5 bar for a spec. on several things on this engine. The recommended fuel rail pressure is...5bar; the recommended DEF pressure on this engine is...5bar. Engine oil pressure is....5 bar. Makes remembering specs easy.
