Ya Im going down that road tomorrow, been waiting a month for the oil sample to come back should have done it in the meantime. The oil pressure is inversely proportional to the the engine temperature though so I suspect the sending unit is fine. Seems to operate smoothly through the full range of pressures and Ive never seen one fail like that. You can watch it fall one pound at a time as the engine heats up.
